9.4 billion online video ads were viewed in the month of September
ComScore found that over 50% of the total U.S. population saw online video ads in September 2012. About 3.4 billion minutes of online videos were viewed. The study shows that each viewer saw approximately 64 video ads throughout the month.
Online video ad spending rose 27% in 2012
This statistic (which represents an 8% increase over last year) comes from a new research report from online video advertising company Adap.tv. The company projects that online video ad spending will continue to grow by another 20% in 2013.
40% of consumers enjoy getting marketing emails from their preferred brands
According to a new study by Blue Kangaroo, 35% of consumers said they are “very interested” in receiving emails from their favorite brands. Another 54% of consumers said they feel they are getting the right amount of marketing emails each week.
47% of national brands look to increase investment in local marketing for 2013
91% of national brands expect to invest more or the same amount in local marketing heading into 2013, according to a new survey by local marketing firm Balihoo. Of those surveyed, 47.3% of brands said they plan to invest more in local marketing for 2013 than they did in 2012.
Search advertising equates to $100 million a day for Google
According to research and search marketing software provider WordStream, Google makes over $100 million in search advertising each day. On a typical day, there are 237.9 million Google ad clicks across search and the network.
